Microsoft released Service Pack 2 (SP2) 14.2.0 on April 12, 2012. Before you update be aware of the following issues.
The update moves several Microsoft User Data (MUD) files to ~/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/Office/, but does not remove the originals. Unfortunately, some of the files are not copied. Microsoft Office for Mac 2011 Service Pack 2 (version 14.2) is not supported with Kerio Connect at this moment. Before moving to Lion, you will need to upgrade Microsoft Office for Mac X and 2004. Lion will not run PowerPC applications. Both Office X and Office 2004 are PowerPC. Office X users need to consider that at sometime, you will not be able to upgrade to a newer mail client. If your computer dies and you purchase a new computer that only runs Lion, you import options will be severely limited. See “Tips” below.

If you are using an “upgrade” CD of Office for Mac and are trying to install, but no longer have the older version installed, follow these steps:
Install from the new UPGRADE CD Follow the Instructions When instructed, insert the original CD (E.g. Office:mac Upgrade 2001) Browse to the Microsoft Office FOLDER on the original ‘CD’ (POINTING TO THE ‘CD’ does not work) Install the updates.
