Microsoft revamps features for Outlook for Mac 15

Microsoft released Outlook for Mac 15, departing from its history of bundling the application with its Office for Mac suite. Also new was that the release was targeted exclusively at Office 365 customers and not made available as a standalone product. It required activation via online subscription and offered no method for entering a serial number for perpetual use of the product.

Microsoft releases Office for Mac 2011 14.2.4 Update

Microsoft has released the out-of-band Microsoft Office for Mac 2011 14.2.4 Update. (111 MB) Although this update includes prior updates since 14.1.0, installation issues require first installing the 14.2.3 update on Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion) and OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion) systems due to GateKeeper.

According to the update’s description it adds support for MacBook Pros with Retina displays and includes new features and fixes for Outlook for Mac.

Automatically change your signature for different recipients

Every once in a while I see something like this posted in the Microsoft Entourage newsgroup:

Is there a way to set a rule so that certain signatures are sent to certain recipients? For example, a rule that would send “signature 1” to recipients of “domain-X” and “signature 2” to everyone else. The first would be for internal use and the second for external?

While Entourage can’t set different signatures automatically on new messages, you . . .
