When you re-open a meeting and add a new recipient you first need to click the “Send” button. You’ll be given the option to send to all attendees or only to new attendees.

MacBU releases Office 12.1.4 update, fixes meeting invite bug

At Noon CDT today Andy Ruff with the Macintosh Business Unit (MacBU) at Microsoft posted an entry on the Mac Mojo blog announcing an update that fixes a recent meeting invite bug in Entourage 2008. This release comes just two weeks and two days after the release of the Office 12.1.3 update, which introduced the bug and is the fastest update release for current and past Office products.

Office 12.1.3 update breaks sending Exchange meeting invitations

MacBU released its Office 12.1.3 updater last Tuesday and by October 16 nearly two dozen users in the Microsoft Entourage newsgroup were beginning to report that they are unable to send meeting invitations.

The specific error message is Unexpected data was encountered with Error: -17997.
