Microsoft has released the Microsoft Office for Mac 2011 14.3.2 Update. (113 MB) Installation requires first installing the 14.3.1 update. According to the update’s description it addresses one security issue and includes multiple bug fixes.
The update addresses a vulnerability in Microsoft Outlook for Mac that could allow Internet-based images to be downloaded without the customer’s consent. This would allow the site to know the message has been received and viewed.

Microsoft has released the out-of-band Microsoft Office for Mac 2011 14.2.4 Update. (111 MB) Although this update includes prior updates since 14.1.0, installation issues require first installing the 14.2.3 update on Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion) and OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion) systems due to GateKeeper.
According to the update’s description it adds support for MacBook Pros with Retina displays and includes new features and fixes for Outlook for Mac.

Support personnel who attempted to follow instructions for filtering Exchange logs with Outlook for Mac more than likely found the results far from useful. This was because the original instructions were incorrect. Microsoft has updated its Turn logging on or off in Outlook for Mac 2011 page with corrected information.

Update: After a few comments from folks saying they are not seeing issues I retested syncing on a clean install of Mountain Lion and Office 14.2.3. Indeed, they’re correct. Syncing between Outlook for Mac and Mountain Lion’s Calendar and Contacts applications is working as expected. Autodiscover has two purposes:
It helps an email client such as Entourage, Web Services Edition, or Outlook for Mac automatically configure a user’s account based on the email address and password he enters during account setup. Autodiscover in Outlook is a big improvement when creating our account settings. If your company’s DNS settings for Autodiscover is not set correctly, Autodiscover will reset your custom settings under Advanced Settings. When this happens Outlook will fail to connect.
