The problem I encountered is, with first installing the cumulative 14.1.0 update today to then install this new updater, according to the 14.1.0 installer you need to be running OS 10.8.5 or 10.9.5, I’m running 10.10.4, a newer version of the OS, so it doesn’t look like the 14.1.0 recognizes OS 10.10+ (yet?).

    • Are you sure you need to run the 14.1.0 update? You only need it if you’re running 14.0.x. Otherwise, you can’t install it over something newer such as 14.3.x, 14.4.x or 14.5.x.

I launched the 14.1.0 updater on my OS X 10.10 (Yosemite) Mac and it opened without reporting any compatibility issues. I couldn’t run it because I’m currently running Office for Mac 2011 14.5.2.

I was just following the directions provided here that I needed to first install 14.1.0, so I’ll try it without the previous updater.
