Location of Outlook 2016 Profile (Identity)

In Outlook 2011, your Identity was located in Documents > Microsoft User Data folder. Identities are now called Profiles in Office for Mac 2016 (now available in preview). Your profile is no longer stored in Documents but in your User’s Library folder.

The User’s Library folder is hidden by default. To unhide: Select the Finder in the Dock. Under Go in the Menu bar > hold down the Option key and you’ll see the Library.

Add iCloud account to Outlook v15

You can add your iCloud email to Outlook v15 but there still is no sync for CalDAV and CardDAV. This mean no sync for contacts and calendars with iCloud, Google, Yahoo, AOL or any account that uses CalDAV and CardDAV. If you want sync for contacts and calendars, get a Microsoft online Exchange account for $4/month for 50 Gb. Exchange will sync message, contacts, calendars, notes and tasks.

Create a new Profile (Identity) in Outlook v15

Outlook v15 uses the term Profiles not Identities.

In Outlook 2011, you could hold down the Option key when launching Outlook to open the Database Utility to create a new Identity. In Outlook v15 (Office for Mac 2016 Preview) see the following steps to create a new Profile (Identity).
