Using OneNote on SharePoint

This question and answer was posted on the OneNote forum today.

[Q]  Is it possible to sign-in and use OneNote for the Mac where we have everything stored on our internal Sharepoints? This is how it is done on our Windows machines and it would be nice if it worked the same on the Mac. Unfortunately, I’m not able to authenticate with our company credentials.

Right now the free OneNote for Mac debuted with a consumer focus and synced to OneDrive and used Microsoft account. In future versions of OneNote for Mac we will add Office 365 & SharePoint support but right now the app is consumer focused. It will follow a similar model like what the Office 2013 free version follows where OneDrive is free and a subscription is required for O365/SharePoint.
