Microsoft has released the Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac 12.3.3 Update. (218 MB) This one update includes the 18 prior updates 12.1.1 through 12.3.2.
According to the update’s description it addresses two new security issues.
The security fixes (MS12-029 and MS12-030) correct remote code execution vulnerability across both Windows and Mac versions of Office, however, Macs are not vulnerable to these attacks according to each knowledge base article.
Users should quit all Office applications and web browsers prior to updating. This update should also be available via the Microsoft AutoUpdate application within one day. Select Check for Updates from the Help menu. It is also available for immediate download.
Additionally, the Entourage 2008, Web Services Edition update has been updated to 13.1.3. This update should only be applied after installing the Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac 12.3.3 Update and if connecting to an Exchange 2007 server running Service Pack 1 with Rollup 4 or later. This update is not needed if already running Entourage 2008, Web Services Edition.
