Microsoft releases Office 2008 for Mac 12.3.2 Update

Microsoft has released the Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac 12.3.2 Update(285 MB) This one update includes the 17 prior updates 12.1.1 through 12.3.1.

According to the update’s description it only addresses one new security issue.

The security issue addressed (MS11-094) corrects a remote code execution vulnerability across both Windows and Mac versions of Office. It does not state, however, whether Macs are indeed vulnerable to these attacks.

Users should quit all Office applications and web browsers prior to updating. This update should also be available via the Microsoft AutoUpdate application within one day. Select Check for Updates from the Help menu. It is also available for immediate download.

Additionally, the Entourage 2008, Web Services Edition update has been updated to 13.1.2. This update should only be applied after installing the Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac 12.3.2 Update and if connecting to an Exchange 2007 server running Service Pack 1 with Rollup 4 or later. This update is not needed if already running Entourage 2008, Web Services Edition.
