Lion users reporting CFURLCreateWithString messages when running Outlook

Update [ April 16, 2012 ]: Microsoft Office for Mac 2011 Service Pack 2 (14.2.0) corrects this issue.

Outlook for Mac users who have upgraded their systems to Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion) are noticing excessive logging information in their Console applications found in /Applications/Utilities. Under the All Messages section of SYSTEM LOG QUERIES, they see the same message repeated frequently:

Outlook 2011- Reply All shows your name and not CC names

[Q] When I “reply all” to an email that includes Ccs, it changes all of the recipients in the Cc field’s address bubble to my name. The correct email is actually used. It’s just my name that is showing. How can I fix it?

Install Office 2008 on Lion

If you do a fresh install of Lion or need to re-install Microsoft Office 2008 at a future time, users that have an original DVD version 12.0.0 of Microsoft Office 2008 can install on Lion, but will need to do an additional step after installing from the DVD. Until this step is complete, Office 2008 cannot see any future updates. If you have Office 2008 v12.1.0 or later there are no special instructions.

Communicator 13.1.2 update addresses Lion crashing

Microsoft has released the Microsoft Communicator for Mac 2011 13.1.2 Update, which addresses a crashing issue in Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion) when sending an instant message or starting an audio or video call. Microsoft announces Lion compatibility for Office for Mac

Two days after Apple’s release of Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion), Microsoft has posted an announcement on its blog about compatibility with Office for Mac to help consumers with their upgrade decisions. Office for Mac users who should not update to Lion are:
