I ran across a neat little freeware application today called TapDex. It’s designed to use with the Mac OS X Address Book, but with Sync Services enabled in Entourage 2004, you can easily create a new email in Entourage using TapDex.

HTML text too small?

Christopher Breen’s Mac 911 Tip of the Week Those aging eyes explains how to use System Preferences to zoom the screen to help read text that’s too small. I would like to remind Entourage users that you can use command = (that’s the key with the plus sign) to enlarge text when needed. This works on an individual message only. Conversely, you can make the text smaller with command -.

Now when you receive an . . .

Entourage requires Legacy Applications software for functionality with Exchange Server 2007

Businesses are slow to adopt new technologies. They need time and resources to test and deploy updates and upgrades to prevent adversely affecting the core tools of their organization.

Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 is one of these new technologies and is only just beginning to be deployed in corporate envionments. I’ve now seen two reports where a default installation of the server software does not support Microsoft Entourage 2004.

However, if you don’t have an Exchange Server then you can’t use Outlook 2001 at home. Or can you?

Double-Click…How does it work?

A recent Entourage newsgroup member asked this question:

When I double-click a word to bold or underline, the space after it gets selected as well. Except for Word, no other program on the Mac does this! How do I get double-click to select just the word like every other program on Mac?
